From February 25 to 26, 2025, the Fusion Industry Association (FIA) hosted the FIA Annual Policy Conference 2025 in Washington, D.C., and accordingly, the Embassy of Japan in the U.S. organized an exhibition and networking event, bringing together key figures from the global fusion industry.
Our COO, Yosuke KUBO, played a pivotal role at the FIA Annual Policy Conference 2025, both as a presenter to showcase Helical Fusion's progress on fusion technology, especially HTS magnet, and a panelist to represent Japan.
During the "International Regulatory Panel," discussions focused on the critical need for appropriate regulations for the commercialization of new energy sources and the benefits of international harmonization to enable global scaling of technology. Representing Japan, he showcased the progress Japan have made in pioneering fusion regulation.
It was an invaluable opportunity to engage with leading minds from the US, UK, and Germany during the panel.
Though competition thrives among companies in the fusion energy sector, collaboration in establishing proper regulations remains a shared goal.
