On November 7, 2024, Helical Fusion board member and key technology developer Takuya Goto presented at the Chubu IE Conference in Nagoya, Japan.
Hosted by the Chubu Industrial Engineering Association, which is chaired by Toyota Motor Corporation, this prominent annual event gathers top manufacturers from Japan’s Chubu region (including Aichi, Gifu, Mie, Ishikawa, and Toyama prefectures).
Other speakers included representatives from Rapidus, AISIN, and TOPPAN.

During his presentation, Takuya shared Helical Fusion’s mission to bring fusion energy to society and introduced the unique capabilities of our Helical Stellarator technology.
The pioneering research conducted over decades by Chubu region institutions such as NIFS and Nagoya University has laid the foundation for our work. Helical Fusion proudly carries forward these achievements to advance fusion commercialization as a viable business.
The conference underscored a shared understanding: realizing fusion energy requires a strong supply chain supported by leaders in manufacturing—a vision we’re committed to pursuing alongside the remarkable industrial contributors of the Chubu region.
